The boat shoe trend is strong – but are they really that comfortable?
We all know the boat shoe trend is strong right now. They’re everywhere you look, from the runway to the local grocery store. But are they really as comfortable as they look? We put them to the test to find out.
First, we tried them on for size. They’re definitely comfortable to slip on and off, but we found that they’re not as comfortable to walk in for long periods of time. The soles are quite thin and don’t offer a lot of support, so your feet can start to feel a bit sore after a while.
Next, we took them for a spin on the water. They performed admirably, keeping our feet dry and comfortable even when we got splashed by a wave. But when we got out of the water and onto dry land, we quickly realized that they’re not the best shoes for walking on slippery surfaces. We nearly took a few spills before we finally made it back to solid ground.
So, are boat shoes comfortable? They’re definitely comfortable to slip on and off, but they might not be the best choice for long walks or slippery surfaces. But if you’re looking for a stylish shoe to wear on the docks or the deck, they’re definitely worth considering.
